    orange

    dry white wine

    tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

    STRIPZEES
  • 1
    lemon
  • to taste
    sugar
  • 1
    sliced onion
  • 140 ml
    water
  • 2
    bay leaves

preparation

  • Thinly peel strips from the orange and lemon. Cook them in a saucepan along with the citrus juice and half of the white wine. Reduce the liquid to about half of the initial volume. Adjust acidity with sugar. Set aside.
  • Coat the Stripzees with flour, removing excess flour with a sieve. In a pan, add oil and sliced onion; soften the onion and then add the Stripzees, browning them. Deglaze with the remaining wine, add the citrus reduction, and then a bit of water to achieve a creamy consistency. Add herbs and cook for an additional minute. Serve with mixed salad or cooked vegetables.
